Nepal Martial Arts Association
It is with great respect and profound commitment that I present this statement on behalf of the Nepal Martial Arts Association. Martial arts, as one of the oldest pillars of human physical culture, have evolved from ancient systems of survival and defense into modern disciplines that embody discipline, honor, resilience, and global cooperation. Across centuries, from Asia to Europe and beyond, martial arts have transformed into structured educational and sporting systems that promote excellence and character development.
In the contemporary world, martial arts occupy an important place not only as competitive sports but as powerful tools for social progress. They contribute to physical fitness, mental discipline, emotional stability, leadership development, and cultural enrichment. As a global force, martial arts foster mutual understanding, peace, and respectful relations among nations.
The Nepal Martial Arts Association remains firmly committed to these principles. It is a Government Registered Martial Arts Organization in Nepal. As an umbrella organization representing diverse martial arts disciplines throughout Nepal, our Association upholds the values of respect, integrity, unity, and continuous improvement. We are dedicated to providing systematic training pathways, professional development for coaches and officials, and opportunities for our athletes to participate in national and international competitions.
Our Mission
Our mission is to advance and professionalize martial arts in Nepal through structured development, standardized education, and strong international cooperation. We seek to empower young people, expand opportunities for women, support marginalized communities, and ensure that martial arts serve as instruments of positive social transformation. We also aim to preserve the cultural heritage of martial arts while embracing modern training methods, sports science, and technological innovation.
Our Role and Responsibility
The Nepal Martial Arts Association plays a vital role in:
- Setting and upholding national standards in training, officiating, and coaching
- Organizing championships, seminars, and certification programs
- Supporting national teams in achieving excellence on the international stage

As President, I reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the growth and advancement of martial arts in Nepal.
