All martial arts are an exceptional self-defense tool and a modern sport. Martial arts are based on ancient wisdom and, therefore, contain deep ethical and moral messages that Nepal Martial Arts Association wans to pass on. NMAA strongly believes that all martial arts therefore represent one of the highest expressions of human art, and deserve a recognition as patrimony of humanity. Due to their capability of fuse wellness, meditation, philosophy and sport they can be practiced by everyone at every age in every place, helping people to feel each other’s as brothers in the art and stimulating cooperation, empathy and integration. NMAA has been established on 15th March 2023 with the aim of bringing together, with equal dignity, all the martial arts that recognize the values above and want to be part of a larger and more united family.
This new and big project requires a structured organization that will be made up of various world and continental commissions that will interface with the national federations. Nepal Martial Arts Association is a umbrella organization of various martial arts. It was established by some dedicated and senior martial arts instructors for holistic and equal development of all styles of martial arts in Nepal as well as around the world. It has several disciplines of martial arts and more than 930 students and members in total in different styles martial arts. NMAA is Government Registered fully democratic and non-political sports organization. We organize various level of martial arts championships and provide platform for all martial artists and organize to create opportunities to participate in professional and amateur level. NMAA is now focusing on the promotion and development of martial arts in Nepal by organizing National and International Martial Arts Championships, Martial Arts Festivals, Congress, Technical Seminars, Referee Courses and so on.
