New Date for World Martial Arts Games and Martial Arts Festival.
Nepal Martial Arts Association would like to inform everyone that the World Martial Arts Games and Festival 2025 will be held in Nepal for the first time from December 12 to 15, 2025, organized by the Nepal Martial Arts Association. We expect more than 40 countries to participate in the World Martial Arts Games and Festival, which will include world championships and competitions in 15 different types of martial arts.
This event will be a subject of pride not only for Nepal Martial Art but also for the entire world martial arts. His Excellency the President of the federal republic of Nepal Ram Chandra Poudel will inaugurate this prestigious event in the Indoor Stadium Hall of National Sports council on the 12 December 2025 at 12 noon. During the Martial Arts Games and festival international competition will be held between the affiliated associations for different games including Jendo, Pankration, Kurash, MMA, Kick-Boxing, Young moo Do, Sambo, Hapkido, Mauy Thai, Karate, Kung fu, Kempo, Taekwondo, Full Contact Karate and Iaido and Kendo. A total of 7,500 players under fifteen categories and 10 weight groups in each (Male and Female) will compete for 150 gold, 150 silver and 300 bronze medals making a total of 600 medals. Players standing first, second and third will be awarded with Medal, Certificates and Token of Love.
On the occasion of the festival, the Chief Guest will felicitate and honor Fifteen International distinguished sports personalities who made important contribution to the Martial Arts as well as those Masters who played vital role to promote and developed the martial art games in the World. On the Fourth (and concluding) day of the Martial Arts Games and festival (15thDecember 2025) Hon’ble Minister for Youth and Sports will give away medals and certificates to the winning players and trophy to the team champions of fifteen martial arts.
Separate time is being provided for the promotion of the non-contesting games including Aikido, Silambam, Kempo, Self Defense and Kung Do Te with 6 hours display time. NEPAL MARTIAL ARTS ASSOCIATION is confident that this grand rendezvous of the entire martial art players will give a new dimension to the development of the Martial Arts contributing, at the same time, to the realization of the slogan ‘Sports for Health, sports for nation” adopted by National Sports Council of Nepal.

Apart from 7,500 contestants (500 from each Styles), 450 Coaches and 225 Officials will participate in The World Martial Arts Games of their own styles and 200 other Athletes from different discipline of Martial Arts will play demonstration show.
